Yesterday, the 6th of November, we made Vegemite sandwiches for our Inquiry topic called “What’s Cooking?” We have been looking at procedure writing and found out that recipes are a type of procedure. We had lots of bread to make sandwiches, plates of margarine and vegemite on each table and we all took turns making them. When we had made our sandwiches we were allowed to either eat it or take it home. Mr Newell had one too! Once we had finished eating them we looked at writing up the recipe. We found out that a recipe has steps and ingredients. We really enjoyed making our sandwiches and thought it was funny that Mr Newell was eating one!!! If you would like to practice your procedure writing you can have a go at writing up a recipe at home!
